Omega-3 fish oil is an important source of long-chain essential fatty acids: eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Research has shown that EPA and DHA help maintain cardiovascular health and help to reduce serum triglycerides/triacylglycerols. (1, 2, 3) Omega-3 fish oil also helps to promote mood balance, helps support cognitive health and brain function (6, 7, 8, 9), and promote healthy levels of anti-inflammatory activity. When used in conjunction with conventional therapy, EPA and DHA also help reduce the pain of rheumatoid arthritis in adults. (10, 11) Kirkland Signature Super Concentrate Omega-3 is an ultra-purified fish oil that provides a source of EPA and DHA for the maintenance of good health.(12) This may be a suitable fish oil for adults who rely on supplementation to meet their daily omega-3 needs. Features and benefits: High omega-3 premium fish oil that is ultra-purified, using advanced molecular distillation. Each softgel provides 750 mg of omega-3 fatty acids in a 500 mg EPA to 250 mg DHA ratio Clear enteric softgels offer a delivery system using a technology that embeds pure and natural ingredients into the softgel casing to prevent them from breaking down in the stomach, helping to reduce fishy aftertaste.
